your lists
Anyone can publish a label list. Newsrooms, fact-checkers and communities already do. You subscribe to the ones you want, and ignore the rest.
the violet flame · nu.network
The violet flame. Each frame is checked on this device. A clear frame plays. Nudity, gore or an attack is blurred before you see it. The first offense bans them from the public forum for a month.
The violet flame is the transmuting fire of Lumeria. Priests and priestesses of the sacred fire used it in the temples: discord went into the flame, and the energy came back as light. Human rights and creators come first. A clear frame plays. Nudity, gore, or an attack on people for who they are, hits the flame on your device and blurs before you see it. The public forum bans them.

This may include nudity.
This frame may include nudity. It was blurred on your device before you saw it.
This may include hate speech.
Hate speech is an attack on people for who they are. The picture stays covered, and on a stream the sound drops, until you choose. The warning does not repeat the words.
Checked on this device. Nothing here is sent to us or to Apple.
blocked for you
Hidden on your device.
This guest stays blurred for you. Everyone else still has their own choice. The post stays on the network.
This guest stays covered and silent for you. Everyone else still has their own choice. The post stays on the network.
The clip underneath is the light-on-black demo from nu.media. This page has no nudity and no slurs. Show lifts the cover. Block keeps it on for you. the same flame
We completely sidestep censorship, and we sidestep favoritism for oligarchs or for anyone in power. The check is the frame, on the device. A prime minister and a stranger get the same flame.
Nobody here decides who is allowed to speak. A clear frame plays. Nudity, gore, or an attack on people for who they are is covered the same way for every guest. A label informs. It does not delete the post.
The only refusal is content that is illegal everywhere, matched by a public hash. That list cannot quietly become a political filter, and it is not a favour.
nudity
Sensitive Content Warning helps you avoid an unwanted sensitive photo or video. If a photo or video might contain nudity or gore and violence, it is blurred before you view it. You choose Show, or you look at the resources and block.
The check is Apple’s Sensitive Content Analysis. It runs on your device. On a live stream, each frame goes through the video-stream analyzer before it is shown, including on the host’s preview. A clear frame plays. When the analyzer finds nudity, or gore and violence, that frame blurs immediately, before you see it. The frames before it stay clear. Apple does not receive a detection, and does not get the frame. Neither do we.
Gore and violence detection is on iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27. A child account follows Communication Safety. The app respects the setting in Privacy & Security. Teen accounts from Declared Age Range get sensitive images blurred, and no messages from strangers.

what you see
hate speech
Hate speech is an attack on a person or a group for who they are. Race, colour, ethnic or national origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability and age are covered. Apple’s warning does not cover words, so this check runs beside it, on the device.
If a guest says it in the middle of a stream, the picture blurs and the sound drops at that moment, until you tap Show. The warning names the kind of attack. It does not quote the words.
The host sees the same cover on their own preview, so they know a guest tripped it. Show and Block are your choice on this device. The public forum ban is the account, and it is instant.
A list you subscribe to, from a community or a newsroom, can hide more. A label informs. It does not delete the post. Nudity, gore, and an attack on people for who they are ban the person from the public forum.
the violet flame
Creation and play can happen on some other toxic platforms. We are no-nonsense. We prioritize the high vibe of the community over racism, misogyny, bullying, and just random drama dumb-fuckery.
The first offense is an instant 1-month ban. The second strike is a 3-month ban. While the ban lasts they are blocked from the public forum, and they lose nu.waves, except the sound healing tones, First Attempt, and the classical composers.
The third offense is a 1-year ban on public discourse and interaction. The fourth strike is permanent. The count never resets, even years later.
Private messages stay private. The frame never leaves the device. The post stays on the network. Stock apps do not show that person in public discourse until the ban ends. A permanent ban does not end.
facts
Anyone can publish a label list. Newsrooms, fact-checkers and communities already do. You subscribe to the ones you want, and ignore the rest.
A consensus label is shown only when raters who usually disagree agree on it. Every device computes the same label. The ratings are public.
Factual, with sources. Opinion. Misleading. Fraud or scam. Spam. Adult. Graphic violence. Satire. Made with AI. A label informs. It does not delete.
the narrow exception
Child sexual abuse material, and other content illegal everywhere, is refused by hash. Node operators do not cache those addresses. The app does not show them. The list is public, append-only and limited to that content, so it cannot quietly become a political filter.
That refusal is how we completely sidestep censorship, and favoritism for oligarchs or for anyone in power. The hash does not know a title. It is not a seat for the people who already have one.
Security is how the messages stay unreadable. The feed is where a post meets this cover.nu.media is the clip under the warning.
